Music School Scheduler, by Alwin Dawon - Violinist · Last updated October 24, 2026
This page explains what information this app, Music School Scheduler, provided by Alwin Dawon - Violinist in the Philippines, keeps, why, and who can see it. Music schools use the app: each school's staff run lessons and billing in it, and its students (or their parents) see their lessons and invoices. Each school's records are kept separate from every other school's.
What we keep
- Account details: name, email address, phone number and, if you add one, a profile photo.
- Student details: birthday, gender, instruments and level, scheduling notes, and parent or guardian names, phone numbers and email addresses, as entered by the school.
- Lessons: lesson dates and times, studio, teacher, attendance and booking requests.
- Billing: invoices, payments recorded by the school (amount, method and reference number) and any credit balance. We don't store card or bank account numbers.
- A school's subscription: its plan, when it is paid until, and each subscription payment (date, amount, how it was paid, and PayMongo's or the GCash or bank reference).
Signing in with Google (no longer offered)
Since 24 October 2026 you sign in with your email (or Student ID) and a password only. Earlier, the app also offered "Continue with Google", which asked Google only for your basic profile (the standard openid, email and profile permissions): your name, email address and profile picture. We never received your Google password or access to anything else in your Google account.
- If you used it, the name, email and picture Google shared stay part of your account, used only to run the app, as below. We don't sell Google user data, use it for advertising or to train artificial intelligence, or share it except with Supabase, our sign-in and database provider.
- The app's use of information received from Google APIs followed the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
- You can remove the app from your Google account's third-party connections page, and ask us to delete your information (see Contact below).
How we use it
Only to run your lessons: scheduling, attendance, invoices and payments, and contacting you about them. We don't sell your information, show you ads, or share it with anyone for marketing.
To keep accounts safe, signing in on a new phone or computer needs a 6-digit code we email you (for a young student without an email of their own, to their parent or guardian), unless you use an authenticator app. You can let a device you own skip it next time; the app then keeps a random key on that device and we keep its name (such as "iPhone app") and when it was last used.
If your school turns them on, the app emails you (and a minor student's parent or guardian) a reminder the evening before a lesson, and a reminder when an invoice is overdue. These come from your school's name, and replies go to the school. The school can turn them off at any time.
Who can see it
- School administrators can see and update all records.
- Teachers can see the schedule and student details they need to teach.
- Students can see only their own lessons, invoices and payments.
- Nobody at another school can see your school's records. The people who run the app for us see each other school's name and subscription, not its students, teachers or billing.
Paying for a school's subscription
This applies to a school's administrator who pays for the school's plan online.
- Payments are taken by PayMongo, a licensed Philippine payment company. The card or e-wallet details are entered on PayMongo's own page: we never see or store them. PayMongo handles them under PayMongo's privacy policy.
- We send PayMongo the plan and amount, the school's name, an internal number for the payment and the administrator's email for PayMongo's receipt. We don't send PayMongo anything about the school's students, teachers or lessons.
- PayMongo tells us whether it was paid, how (such as GCash or card) and its payment reference, which we keep with the school's subscription.
Paying tuition online
If your school turns it on, you can pay its invoices in the app through PayMongo, a licensed Philippine payment company, using your school's own PayMongo account: the money goes to the school. You enter your card or e-wallet details on PayMongo's own page; we never see or store them. We send PayMongo the amount, the invoice, the student's name and, if we have it, an email for PayMongo's receipt. PayMongo tells us whether it was paid, how (such as GCash or card) and its payment reference, which we keep with the invoice. PayMongo handles the payment under PayMongo's privacy policy. Refunds of tuition are between you and your school.
Where it's stored
Your information is stored with Supabase, our database provider, the app is served by Cloudflare, and emails are delivered by Resend. When the app runs into an error, a crash report (what went wrong, the page, the browser or phone model) goes to Sentry, so we can fix it; it doesn't include your name, email or records. Online payments are handled by PayMongo, as described above. When you set a password, the app checks it against a public list of leaked passwords using only the first five characters of a scrambled (hashed) version of it, so your password itself never leaves your device.
How long we keep it
We keep your records while you're enrolled or working with the school, and afterwards as long as needed for billing and accounting records. Ask us if you'd like your information removed.
Your choices and deleting your data
Delete your account yourself: sign in on the website or in the iPhone or Android app, open Settings, then Sign-in & security (students: Sign-in), and tap Delete my account at the bottom. You're signed out at once and we email you the date: 30 days later your sign-in is deleted, with your email, phone, photo, notifications and two-step devices. To change your mind, sign in before then and tap Keep my account. Your school keeps its own records about you (lessons, attendance, invoices, payments and pay) for its finances; ask your school, or email us, to have those removed too. A school's only administrator first makes someone else an administrator.
You can update your contact details and photo in the app's settings. To have your information corrected or deleted, email us (see Contact below) or ask at the front desk, and we'll remove it, keeping only what the law requires for billing and accounting records.
Your school and us
Under the Philippines' Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), your school decides what information it keeps about its students and staff and why: it is the personal information controller. Alwin Dawon - Violinist stores and processes that information for the school, only to run the app: we are its personal information processor. You have the right to be informed, to access and correct your information, to object, and to have it erased or blocked; ask your school, or email us and we'll pass your request on and help. You may also complain to the National Privacy Commission.
Using the app is also covered by our Terms of use and Refund policy.
