Terms of use
Music School Scheduler, by Alwin Dawon - Violinist · Last updated October 25, 2026
Music School Scheduler is an online app for running a music school: lesson scheduling, students and teachers, attendance, invoices and payments, and a portal for students. It is provided by Alwin Dawon - Violinist, a sole proprietor in the Philippines ("we"). These terms apply to the music schools that subscribe ("the school") and to everyone who signs in to the app: the school's staff, its students and their parents.
Subscriptions
- There are four plans, by the number of active students: Free (no charge, up to 15 active students, no branches), Studio (₱799 a month, up to 60 active students), Academy (₱1,490 a month, up to 150 active students) and Max (₱2,990 a month, any number of students, with branches for schools with more than one location). Students set to Inactive don't count; only active students can be scheduled. These prices are also on our Pricing page and are shown again before you pay. Prices may change; we'll tell schools at least 30 days before a change applies to them.
- New schools start on Free, with nothing to pay and no card needed. A school's administrator can change the plan at any time in Settings → Subscription. A school can move to a smaller plan only while it fits it: it first sets students it no longer teaches to Inactive, or switches off its branches, to what that plan allows.
- Paid plans are paid in advance, one or more months at a time, in Philippine pesos. A school's administrator pays online in the app (Settings → Subscription) through PayMongo, a licensed Philippine payment company, by GCash, Maya, card, QR Ph or online banking; the payment details are entered on PayMongo's own page (we never see or store them). Nothing is charged automatically. We may also agree payment by GCash or bank transfer straight to us. The seller is Alwin Dawon - Violinist.
- Paying for the plan the school already has adds the months after its paid time, so paying a few days early or late doesn't move the due date; a school that was paused starts a new month from the day it pays. Paying for another plan starts that plan the day it's paid; time left on the old plan isn't carried over (ask us before changing if you'd like it credited).
- Every payment gets a numbered receipt by email and in the app (an acknowledgement receipt, not a BIR official receipt), and we email the school's administrators 3 days before each due date.
- If a paid plan isn't paid within 7 days after it's due, the school is paused: its staff and students can't use the app until it's paid, or until its administrator moves it to Free (when it fits). Nothing is deleted while a school is paused.
- Refunds follow our Refund policy.
The school's responsibilities
- Keep the information it enters accurate, and enter people's personal information only with a lawful reason to keep it, as the Data Privacy Act requires of the school.
- Give accounts only to its own staff and students, and remove access when someone leaves.
- Keep its administrators' sign-ins safe. Administrator accounts must use two-step verification.
- Decide whether to send reminder emails to its students, and use them only for its lessons and billing.
Everyone who signs in
- Don't share your password, sign in as someone else, or try to see another school's or another person's information.
- Don't use the app to send spam, break the law, or interfere with how it runs.
Your data
A school's records belong to the school. Each school's records are kept separate, and we see each school's name and subscription, not its students, teachers or billing. Administrators can download their school's data at any time (Settings → School → Export your data). How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy policy.
Ending a subscription
A school can stop paying at any time by choosing Free in Settings → Subscription. Its card isn't charged again, it keeps its paid plan until the period it paid for ends, and it then moves to Free. If by then it uses more than Free allows, it is treated as unpaid until it reduces to what Free allows or pays again. We may pause or close an account that doesn't pay or breaks these terms. Before a closed school's records are deleted, we'll give its administrators at least 30 days to download them, unless the law requires otherwise.
The service
We work to keep the app running and its data safe, with daily backups by our database provider, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free, and we may change or improve features. To the extent the law allows, our responsibility for any loss is limited to the subscription fees the school paid in the three months before it happened.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; we'll show the new date above and tell schools about important changes. These terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines. Questions: email alwin@violinist.live.
